Earlier, iPhone 14 Pro users were forced to use an AOD in which the wallpapers were visible and hence it doesn't feel like a pure AOD.IMG: Unsplash
But later with iOS 16.2 update, Apple added the option to remove wallpaper from Always on display. So this makes a total of two AOD modes.IMG: Unsplash

So if you look at per hour consumption for AOD, it goes as given. - AOD without Wallpaper - 0.6% per hour - AOD with Wallpaper - 0.8% per hour
